Beaujolais Nouveau day 2005

I should have bloged about this sooner, being that it is the only wine based holiday of the year. This year’s is not as good as last years. It is very sweet and fruity but it does not have any complexity. It is quite easy to drink. A friend of mine called a bottle of house Chianti that we had the other night “sugar water” and this year’s Beaujolais is a lot like that. It is still fun to drink and very easy to drink, almost like a chugging wine but I would not call it good.



I don’t have too much more to say about it. Those people who are fans of Beaujolais Nouveau Day have already tried it, and know what I am saying, and those who are not, probably won’t try it.
