Renwood 2003 Syrah Rosé

This is one my favorite finds lately. It is a Rosé but good. I find most rosés to be sweet whites that are a little dark. Or white zinfandels that I really don’t like. But this wine is much different. It is like a Red Lite. It has all the complexities that you would expect from a red, like fruit and tannins.

I chilled it for most of the day but took it out of the fridge about an hour before I opened it. I thought this was a perfect temperature but Moxie thought it could have been a little cooler.

I would recommend this to anyone, even people that do not like Rosé. I generally do not like rosés but I think this may be a lead-in wine. It is also a great value at $11 a bottle. I have a couple more on the shelf but I don’t think they’ll last to long.
